In 2023, after knowing Christ for most of my life, I finally truly stepped into deepening my walk with Jesus and growing further in my relationship with Him and the Word of God. It was no longer about the Jesus I heard about in Sunday School as a child, but the Jesus people died for. The One whose promises change everything about you.

Almost exactly as I was making this intentional shift, I started experiencing sudden hives and swelling that progressed into anaphylactic reactions. These episodes were alarming to both me and my family and always seemed to happen in the middle of the night. Specialists, allergists, and physicians could not understand what was happening. I longed for healing and clarity.

One evening at our church’s prayer meeting, we were asking the Lord for healing and understanding. I had started to wonder if there was a spiritual component to what was happening and whether the enemy was trying to use this health scare to deter me from growing deeper with Christ.

During that meeting, one of my sisters in Christ brought clarity and confirmation to what I was experiencing, a vision from the Lord and the prayer group prayed fervently over what she received. I have not had an anaphylactic flare-up since. To God be the glory.

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit — which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:11-17 CSB

There was a time when I didn’t have a strong relationship with God because I lacked understanding of who He truly is. Although I believed in Him, I didn’t know how to connect with Him personally. Everything began to change when I started reading my Bible consistently and discovering His character through His Word. I also learned to have honest conversations with God through prayer, sharing my thoughts, struggles, and desires openly. As I intentionally invited Him into every area of my life, my faith grew deeper. Today, I know God personally, trust Him more, and I enjoy a much more meaningful relationship with Him.

One of the greatest ways I have seen God’s faithfulness in my life is through my education. There were many times when I had no idea how my school fees would be paid. More often than not, the money simply wasn’t there. Yet somehow, God always made a way. He used different people and even complete strangers to help cover my fees at different stages of my education. I know for certain that it was God’s provision through people. Every time I was about to lose hope, He would send someone at just the right moment. I am very grateful for everyone God used to invest in my future. My prayer now is that God would bless me so that I can become that person for others and help someone else achieve their dreams, just as so many people helped me achieve mine.

My life is a testimony of God’s power to break limitations. For many years, I struggled with fears, doubts, and different obstacles that seemed determined to hold me back. The enemy tried to limit my purpose, my confidence, and even my understanding of who God created me to be. The greatest breakthrough of all is the salvation of my soul. When I gave my life to Jesus Christ, everything began to change. God opened my eyes to His truth, He filled me with His peace, and He gave me a brand new identity. Wow. Thank You Jesus. I am a child of God, redeemed and loved by Him. I no longer live in fear because I know who goes before me and stands with me. My worth is not found in people’s opinions or my circumstances, but in Jesus Christ. Through Him, I have victory, freedom, and the confidence to walk in the purpose God has for my life. Hallelujah
